Philippa Leathley is a British children’s author from East Yorkshire whose debut middle grade novel Inkbound: Meticulous Jones and the Skull Tattoo was published by HarperCollins in 2025 and became a UK bestseller. She grew up writing from a young age, enjoys learning new languages and exploring topics from historical fashion to shipwrecks, and now lives near Hull with her family and their rescue cats. Leathley’s imaginative fantasy storytelling blends magic, adventure, and questions of identity, earning her recognition as an exciting new voice in children’s literature
