Finbar Hawkins

Finbar Hawkins is a British author of young adult fiction whose novels often blend myth, magic and supernatural themes, including his debut Witch, which was shortlisted for the Branford Boase Award and nominated for the 2022 Carnegie Medal. He grew up in Blackheath, London, and now lives in Wiltshire with his family, working as a creative director for Aardman Animations while drawing inspiration from landscapes steeped in legend. Hawkins’s work also includes Stone and the eerie multi‑timeline Ghost, reflecting his fascination with folklore and the uncanny.
