Petr Horáček

Petr Horáček (born 1967) is a Czech-born author and illustrator who studied at the Academy of Fine Art in Prague and moved to England in 1995. He made his debut in children’s literature in 2001 with the board books Strawberries Are Red and What Is Black and White?, winning the “Books for Children Newcomer” award that year — a launchpad for a prolific career. Since then he has published dozens of picture books, often praised for their vibrant, textured artwork and imaginative storytelling
