Claire Powell is a bestselling British children’s book illustrator and author based in Derbyshire. She began her career in graphic design and motion graphics for television, but after a visit to a children’s book illustration exhibition she retrained as a book illustrator — landing her first book deal in 2016 and since illustrating over 50 books filled with humour, warmth and expressive characters.
