Andrew Whitson

Andrew Whitson is a Belfast-born illustrator, author and publisher — widely regarded as one of the leading figures in contemporary Irish-language children’s literature. He has illustrated dozens of books, notably the “Rita” series by Máire Zepf and the “Molly” series by Malachy Doyle, and is the creative director of independent publishing house An tSnáthaid Mhór, which specialises in richly illustrated children’s books.
