Renée Watson

Renée Watson is a New York Times bestselling author, educator, and activist whose work often centres on the experiences of Black girls and women. Her young adult novel 'Piecing Me Together' won a Coretta Scott King Award and a Newbery Honor, and she has published acclaimed picture books, poetry, and middle-grade novels.She has also spent over two decades teaching creative writing and theatre in schools and community centres across the U.S., and founded the nonprofit 'I, Too Arts' Collective to support underrepresented voice
