Peter Bently
Peter Bently (born 29 December 1960) is a British children’s author famed for his rhyming picture books such as Cats Ahoy! and King Jack and the Dragon. He grew up in a military family — moving often across England, Germany, Singapore and Hong Kong — and studied languages at Oxford before working as a journalist and non fiction book editor. After having a child he began writing children’s books, and has since published over seventy titles, several of which have won major awards.
