Paul O'Grady (14 June 1955 – 28 March 2023) was an English drag queen performer, comedian, broadcaster, actor and writer. He rose to fame in the 1980s and 1990s thanks to his drag persona Lily Savage, which brought him widespread recognition before he transitioned into mainstream TV and radio presenting.
Later in life, O’Grady became a cherished television personality and a passionate animal welfare campaigner, best known for hosting shows such as The Paul O'Grady Show and For the Love of Dogs — endeavours that earned him both public affection and honours for his services to entertainment.
