Mel Taylor-Bessent
Mel Taylor Bessent is a British children’s author best known for her festive The Christmas Carrolls series and the Imagination Island books, which celebrate imagination, humour, and inclusivity. Before publishing her own fiction, she ran creative writing workshops and founded the successful literacy platform Authorfy to inspire young readers and writers around the world. Her books have entered the UK Children’s Top 20 and been featured on the Blue Peter Book Club, and she continues to champion reading for pleasure through school visits and online content.
