Kiri Lightfoot
Kiri Lightfoot is a New Zealand‑based author of children’s and young adult books, originally born in Exeter, England. She has published picture books like Every Second Friday, Ming’s Iceberg and Te Ngahere i te Pō, and her debut YA novel Bear won the 2024 Storylines Tessa Duder Award and was a finalist in the 2025 New Zealand Book Awards for Children and Young Adults. Lightfoot has also worked in television and theatre as a scriptwriter and actor, and she lives in Auckland
