Jeffrey Boakye

Jeffrey Boakye (born 1982 in Brixton, London) is a British author, educator, broadcaster and journalist whose work frequently explores race, masculinity, education, identity and popular culture.  He taught English to secondary‑school students for about fifteen years before becoming a Senior Teaching Fellow at the Manchester Institute of Education, publishing multiple books — including Hold Tight: Black Masculinity, Millennials and the Meaning of Grime — and co‑presenting the BBC Radio 4 music programme Add to Playlist
