
Jack Fairweather

Jack Fairweather (born 1978) is a British journalist turned author, who served as a war correspondent β including time embedded with British troops in Iraq β before shifting to writing history and biography. His most acclaimed work, βThe Volunteer,β telling the story of a Polish resistance fighter who infiltrated Auschwitz, won the 2019 Costa Book Award for Book of the Year and became a bestselling modern classic.
