Anthony McGowan
Anthony McGowan is a British author born in Manchester in 1965, known for his work in children’s, young adult, and adult fiction. He draws on his working-class upbringing and experiences in Leeds to create gritty, realistic stories that often explore adolescence, identity, and social challenges. Over his career, he has published more than 40 books, earning recognition such as the Carnegie Medal for his contributions to young adult literature.
