Book Review

The story helps us to understand the negative impact the land grabbers have on the tribes and the animals

I really enjoyed the description of the Amazon rain forest as it is somewhere I would like to visit one day because I love nature, especially primates.

I hope there will still be lots of trees when I am old enough to get there because the trees are important for the animals and other wildlife who live there.

The story helps us to understand the negative impact the land grabbers have on the tribes and the animals. It made me feel concerned for their future.

The story is fast-paced and exciting. For example, Carlos and Davi have to run away from the blazing fires that are out of control. I like how independent Carlos is but I would not want to be kidnapped, as he was, by a dangerous gang!

I think this book would be enjoyed by readers aged 8-11 years who admire action characters such as Alex Rider, James Bond and Jason Bourne.

The pictures are really cool too – a bit like the artwork in a graphic novel.
