This book is perfect for anyone who loves to explore and is wanting their socks to blow off!
The first thing I thought when I saw this book was that it was a normal book with similar context to all the others.
Well, after reading this book I can tell you it is anything but that! This unique book follows the story of young Meridian as she tries to research and hunt down the mysterious creature that haunts her village. While doing this Meridian must face lots of criticism and she must learn to accept the truth.
The illustrations of the front cover for this book are simply magical. The beautiful landscape complete with iconic mountains makes me feel like I am really there!
My favourite part in this book is when JT saw the two green glowing eyes on the JO HA DOG TRAIL because the way Jennifer writes makes it seem like you are really staring back at the green sphere like things. I love the bond between Meridian and her Grandad because it reminds me of spending time with my Grandad. This book is a perfect size and great for a read while you’re travelling!
My favourite character has to be JT because even though his friend doesn’t like Meridian and urges him to do the same, he helps Meridian find the beast. My least favourite character is Callum because he is such a show-off.

About the Book
