If you like fantasy stories about good versus evil with lots of imagination, you will really like this book.
You might not think rabbits are really brave animals but this book will change your mind.
The heroes of this fantasy story are Uki and his friends, Jori and Kree, who are a band of rabbits on a quest to capture Charice, an evil swamp spirit who is poisoning their land.
This is the fifth book in the world of Podkin series. You can read it on its own like I did but you might want to read the others first to find out about all the characters.
The book is very exciting and quite scary in parts when the gang have to face evil forces trying to stop them. My favourite character is Jori because of her exciting origin story. I really like the very detailed illustrations done by David Wyatt that bring the story to life.
If you like fantasy stories about good versus evil with lots of imagination, you will really like this book.

Uki and the Swamp Spirit is the fifth title set in the world of Podkin One-Ear from bestselling author Kieran Larwood who won the Blue Peter Best Story Book Award.
Uki and his friends have two more spirits to find and capture. After defeating Valkus, they make for Charice, who is spreading disease through the swamps. Can Uki and his friends outwit him – all whilst they themselves are being chased by the Endwatch and Jori’s clan of assassins?
This is book number 5 but our young reviewer enjoyed reading it even though he had not read the first five titles in the series.
