Book Review

I found it fast-paced and it kept me on my toes

The children keep counting down to something. I kept on reading to see what happened when they reached zero.

I loved this book because it is a mystery and it’s suspenseful. I found it fast-paced and it kept me on my toes.

I think this book is suitable for 7 to 12 years olds who like thrilling mysteries like Dreadwood by Jennifer Killick. I want to read the other books in the series now.

About the Book

This book is about Tara Fisher’s best friend Zoe. One day she comes to school and she is acting very differently. She’s being mean and doesn’t hang out in their friend group anymore and talks about ‘being chosen’.

A few more people in Tara‘s class also start acting in a similar way so Tara and her other friends, Dennis and Jasmine investigate.

However, when Jasmine saw lights in the sky she started acting weird. When the same thing happens to Dennis, Tara has no choice but to go to her parents for help.

None of the adults believe her so she goes to find out what happened by herself.
