A boy I know in year 1 likes everything about poo, wee and toilets - he would like this book!
If I had to describe this story in 9 words I would say: Pooh pooh poop pooooooo pooper doggy droppings faeces
The layout is a graphic novel with pictures in all colours.
One of the characters, Pedro, is bright yellow like the Simpsons. I liked how idiotic the book was because then you can laugh at it. I liked the front cover and the title.
In the book there is a game of ‘want or need’. People want toilet paper but don’t need toilet paper because in ye olde times people used moss! Every time they fart a pedometer comes up as ‘+1 step’.
You don’t want to pick up your own dog’s poo do you? So there’s a classic ‘pebble manoeuvre’ trick in the book. Throw a pebble on the ground, pick it up, put it in a dog bag. When someone asks you ‘have you picked up your dog’s poo?’ you say ‘yes I have’ because they can clearly see the stone inside which looks like dog poo.
I would recommend this to people in year 2 and below (up to age 7).

Join best friends Pedro, Olga and Ozzy – otherwise known as the Poopies – on three outrageously gross adventures.
When school shuts down, Pedro sets up a Dog Poo Business in the park. Next, the Poopies enter an epic farting competition powered by suspicious bubble tea. And finally, when Pedro catches a bad case of Talky-hand-itis, he faces his biggest challenge yet …. how will he wipe his bum?
