The Man Who Wore All His Clothes Reviewed by Zaki, Age 6

I like the front cover of the book because the man looks really fat with all his clothes on and this made me laugh.

My favourite story is ‘The Man Who Wore All His Clothes’. I can’t believe the robber went into the taxi after stealing some money and then on the school bus. I was a bit scared when the robber was on the bus with the children and he had a gun, but then he said ‘only joking’ and I realised it was just a pretend gun. The robber didn’t like the children making lots of noise. I liked it when the robber was running and stole a pizza while everyone was chasing him. I was wondering what was going to happen to the robber next so I wanted my mummy to keep reading it. The robber looked small but he was fast so no one could catch him. But he couldn’t get past Mr Gaskitt because he was wearing so many clothes and was in his way. I think this is the best story I’ve ever read in my life!

In the story ‘The Woman Who Won Things’ I was shocked that Mrs Plum took money from the kids pretending it was for a trip and she took all the money from the fair when everyone was watching the race. I liked the bit when Mrs Gaskitt bumped into Mrs Plum and all the money and people’s other things fell out of the suitcase. All the children and grown ups were really disappointed to find out she was a thief.

In ‘The Cat Who Got Carried Away’ I loved all the pictures of the naps.

In ‘The Children Who Smelled A Rat’ I was shocked to find out that Mrs Fritter had an evil sister.

I would recommend this book to all children who like exciting stories. I will take this book to share with my class because I know they’ll all love it too.
