I read this book and it is amazing!
My favourite part of the book was when Lila and her family travel to Ohio and notice something strange about the house. Lila discovers that she can communicate with and see ghosts. She discovers that there is a portal to the afterlife in the fourth floor, but the problem is that there is no staircase to be found!
This book is full of suspense and quests. I think children in Year 6 at school will really enjoy this book. It also has beautiful, black and white illustrations.
