I loved The Case of the Dreaming Dragon because it’s got mystery, misery and magic!
My first impression of this book was that the cover looks so exciting and made me wonder what the story would be about. The blurb made it sound like a difficult quest, and I wanted to join the journey and find out what adventures the children go on. The plot contains happiness, sadness and luck and that’s why it’s a great read.
My favourite character is Marisee because she is kind, brave and loyal. She is determined to save London and help everyone.
I really liked how the book was set during the plague in London, but it changed it into a magical storyline.
I would recommend this book to people who like thrilling and dangerous journeys and it taught me to face my fears no matter what.
My favourite part was at the end when it all comes together, and everything fits together like a puzzle. It was a very satisfying end.
This book is historical magical fiction but anyone who enjoys mystery or magical books will love this. I would say the age range this book can be enjoyed by is age 8 and up.
