The story gripped me and I always wanted to keep reading
First Impressions
When I received the book, I didn’t know who the author was and I had never heard the title before. Looking at the title and cover of the book I thought it would be about the life of someone and their future.
Storyline
The book was about a girl named Alex Nobody who has a very boring life, but little does she know what is in store for her…
What I Liked
My favourite character was the Time Minister because of at the end who she really was. The characters felt quite real to me and the storyline always kept me guessing which was good because it kept me interested.
I liked the authors use of simile and metaphor because sometimes they made me laugh, I also liked the authors use the proper facts in the storyline. The story had some funny moments in for me and made me laugh.
The story gripped me and I always wanted to keep reading.
Round Up
I would recommend this book for the ages of 9 to 12 and I would say this book would suit people who like adventures, mystery and suspense.
Rating
I can honestly say I absolutely loved this book and for that reason I must give this book a solid 4/5 stars

This debut novel by a writer called Kate Gilby Smith. Essentially the central character, Alex, is regarded as a ‘nobody’ who is ignored by the world. But one day a mysterious boy named Jasper starts at school and then he disappears … into the year 2100.
Can Alex risk travelling into the future to discover what’s happened to him and to unravel the secret of her own astonishing destiny … before time runs out? Our nine-year-old reviewer absolutely loved reading this mysterious adventure that kept him guessing.
