I loved it because I want to start a rescue centre myself!
This book is amazing especially if you love animals. I loved it because I want to start a rescue centre myself.
In the story there was a little boy who tripped over a branch and he sprained his ankle, luckily for him The Appletree Animal Agency was there as well to help him get back to safety, the problem was it was in the middle of a snow storm.
My favourite character Domino who is a three-legged dog, helped the little boy get back to safety by going to get help.
I loved the pictures they were really heart-warming and detailed. They went well with what was happening throughout the story.

When Domino escapes in a snowstorm, the team set out to rescue him. They track his paw prints – but when they find their dog, they stumble upon someone else who needs help…

Katya Balen is an award-winning British children’s author whose books explore themes of family, nature, and neurodiversity. Her debut novel, The Space We’re In, earned critical acclaim, and she won the Carnegie Medal in 2021 for 'October, October'. Alongside her writing, she co-directs Mainspring Arts, a charity supporting neurodivergent artists.

Gill Smith
Gill Smith is a Liverpool-based children’s book illustrator who, after working in education and community arts, earned an MA in Children’s Book Illustration with distinction at the Cambridge School of Art. Her work includes illustrated titles such as 'Maria’s Island' and 'Saving the Butterfly' — the latter of which was shortlisted for the in 2023.
