I liked that the book focuses on Rocky, a girl playing football - there are plenty of stories about boy footballers already!
I really liked this book because it was fast-paced and easy to read. Even if it is the sixth book in the series, the reader is regularly told what happened previously so they are not confused and understand the continuing storyline.

I thought that there were some really funny moments in the book, like when Rocky plays tricks on her football star brother Roy. The book shows how Rocky overcomes difficult situations in her life and I hope to become as strong as her.
I would recommend this book to my football friends (girls and boys) and it has made me want to read the prequels over the holidays.
About the Book
Rocky is the sixth book in the series of illustrated middle grade fiction titles starring Roy of the Rovers, the classic British children’s football hero rebooted for the 21st century. And in this book the star character is Rocky, Roy’s football-mad younger sister. It contains black and white illustrations by Dan Cornwell and the series is published by Rebellion.
A struggling student and brilliant footballer, Rocky Race is many things, but to most people she’s just Roy Race’s little sister. It’s not much fun – especially as Melchester Rovers head to the League Cup Final.
Rocky’s sick of everyone knowing her through Roy, she’s had enough of school, and she’s even started having panic attacks.
