I already knew quite a bit about ancient Rome but this was a fun way of expressing the information
This book is a fun way of learning about ancient Rome, ‘the greatest city on Earth’. It’s a chapter graphic novel with a mixture of facts and made up animal characters.
I liked the funny story about the crow giving away information to a enemy Boudicca magpie instead of doing its job . There is also a menacing spider. If you like Taylor Swift have a look at page 100.
I already knew quite a bit about ancient Rome but this was a fun way of expressing the information. I wouldn’t like to live in ancient Rome because they don’t have television. If I could go back in time I would like to meet the horse in the book because I like horses.
When I started reading it again I noticed a hilarious picture where a wolf pees against a statue of a Roman historian who got something wrong!
The chapter with the chicken is called Fowl Play and the chicken uses one of its feathers to pick the lock of its cage so it can escape. The chicken calls escaping ‘work’.
I would recommend this to anyone who likes Horrible Histories.
