I love the pictures
I love the pictures. The cats are adorable and I like the colours used. There are lots of details to look for and some interesting characters. I like Gus the theatre cat dressed as a tiger and Macavity jumping over the police.
Some words are confusing but some I understood and I could see the pictures of the cats in my head before I looked at the real pictures. The rhymes are fun and help me to remember the words and I know the song of Macavity from watching a clip of ‘Cats’ at school.
I would recommend this to slightly older children than me, maybe nine or ten years as the words are quite grown up.

Illustrator
Júlia Sardà
Júlia Sardà (born 1987) is a Catalan illustrator from Barcelona whose vibrant, detailed artwork brings new life to classic stories like Alice in Wonderland, The Wizard of Oz, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. After several years working as a colourist for Disney/Pixar merchandising, she transitioned to freelance work and now primarily illustrates children’s books — she also made her author-illustrator debut with 'The Queen in the Cave'.
