It was hilarious and I read it in one go
Any football fan would love this book. My Mum read it and she thought it was awesome too!
It was hilarious and I read it in one go. I liked how the book explained about the offside rule with good examples of how you can beat it.
My favourite character was Lee because I just found him cool. It showed how much fun it is being part of a team with your friends.
The twist at the end of the book surprised me quite a lot but I can’t say more without giving the game away.
I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series, starting with book number 1! Overall I give this book 11 out of 11 stars!

Perfect for footie fans this is fun story with lots of black and white illustrations.
Can Dale Juniors win the local football cup for a second time? Scott, Danny and Jack think they can! But when Jack is booted off the team to make room for new boy Lee Parker, everything changes. Lee’s a good player. But something’s wrong. He isn’t playing to win – and when he gets a red card for a dirty foul, it looks as though it’s all over. Can Jack save the day?
The competition and the tension heighten as Paul Stewart continues the action in the second of this accessible four-part Football Mad series published by Barrington Stoke.
