My favourite character in the book was Monkey Robertson because he gets up to tricks
Noah had four animals on his uncle’s boat. There was a kangaroo, tiger, alpaca and a monkey. It was like the story in the Bible of Noah’s Ark, but in this story Noah was taking the animals back to where they belong.
My favourite character in the book was Monkey Robertson, because he was funny, cheeky and gets up to tricks. His biggest trick was that he started the pirates’ boat, so they had to swim after it and this made me laugh.
Spoiler Alert: In the end Monkey Robertson wanted to stay with Noah, who he regarded as his family which was nice.

This fun adventure story with an eco-message for readers aged 6+ years is written by Alexander McCall Smith, illustrated in black and white throughout by Nicola Kinnear.
Noah can’t believe it when he finds out that his uncle owns a zoo with lots of animals including a tiger! But the zoo is closing down, and there are animals who need taking to new homes. Noah and his family set sail on a round-the-world trip returning the zoo animals to the places they originated from. But what happens if an animal doesn’t want to go back to where he came from?
With echoes of the journey told in Life of Pi this book will appeal to any young reader who loves exotic animals and crazy adventures.
