It is a story about friendship and learning to accept yourself as who you are
Night Books starts when the main character Alex wants to make a new start and be the same as everyone else. Alex is not the same as other people because he loves spooky and scary stories. I felt really sorry for Alex because he didn’t have any friends.
I didn’t really think the book was scary but other people might do, but it was a mysterious story so it was a good book to read around Halloween. It is a story about friendship and learning to accept yourself as who you are, nobody can change that.
I really loved the cat, she starts off as an enemy but to find out more you will have to read the book!

A boy is imprisoned by a witch and must tell her a new scary story each night to stay alive.
Alex’s hair-raising tales are the only thing keeping the witch Natacha happy, but soon he’ll run out of pages to read from and be trapped forever.
He’s loved scary stories his whole life, and he knows most don’t have a happily ever after.
But now that Alex is trapped in a terrifying tale of his own, he’s desperate for a different ending – and a way out.
