I thought that the monster glossary at the end, referring to the creatures in the novel, was both funny and helpful
Monster Doughnuts is an amusing page-turner that I found enjoyable and easy to read. The detailed illustrations, which are peppered throughout, helped me imagine further what the settings and the characters resemble.
The “chewed” cover page looks like it was eaten by a monster making the reader feel part of the story.
I thought that the monster glossary at the end, referring to the creatures in the novel, was both funny and helpful with wacky names such as “Poo Shuffler” and “Parent Punisher”!
The storyline was exciting and easy to understand which always made me want to read on to find out what would happen next – I finished the book in only a few sittings.
The end suggests there might be a follow up… I will keep an eye out for this one!
About the Book
