Book Review

I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who is ready to go on an adventure with some monsters!

As soon as I took one look at this book I knew I would love it, and I was right! I literally could not put it down once I started reading it. It was so good that I read it all in one day!

The front cover is attractive with the bright colourful monsters. I think the names of the monsters are very creative but quite unusual which made me laugh, for example Szlice, Stubbz and Warezit. I thought it was quite freaky the way Warezit has so many eyes!

I was excited when I read that Joey and Harry were going on a school trip, but I knew there was going to be some kind of trouble when the monsters were also on a school trip to the same place!
My favourite character is Joey because she is clever and encouraging, she tries to escape from the Imp world with Harry. I like that she enjoys writing too, like me but her writing is always quite messy.I don’t really like the king because he eats monsters all the time!

I think the author is really good at building up the suspense, so I couldn’t wait to find out what happens next. I was relieved when Joey and Harry managed to get back to the human world.

My favourite part was on the last page when the monsters reappeared at the end of the bed, I really was not expecting this!
The illustrations are quite detailed and helped me to create a picture in my head.

I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who is ready to go on an adventure with some monsters!

About the Book

Joey and Harry do NOT like each other. Stuck together on a school trip to a museum, things couldn’t get any worse, until they meet some incorrigible monsters!

The monsters are on a field trip of their own, bringing BAD LUCK to the human world. Quickly, they decide to take the children back to where they’ve come from and feed them to their king. But what exactly lies ahead for Joey and Harry at the Ministry of Mischief?

Will they make it back home in time for tea? Or will they be stuck with these misbehaving monsters forever?
