I liked this book because it is a funny, entertaining, never-want-to-look-up book
When 6K’s post exam party bonanza is cancelled, it’s up to Mina, Reema and Mobeen to capture an on the loose tarantula whilst on their best behaviour because there are inspectors at Western Primary School! Known to Mina, Reema and Mobeen as “Inspector Big Beard”, “Inspector Stick Insect” and “Inspector Wiggles”, it is dangerous to make the school look bad in front of them.
I liked this book because it is a funny, entertaining, never-want-to-look-up book. If you like ‘Toto the Ninja Cat’, you’ll probably like this book too.
It’s easy to read because of the font size and how many pictures there are. I read it in less than 3 hours! I like how the author used a larger font size to emphasise.
I would recommend this book for people aged 6 to 11 who like stories with groups of friends and silly events.
About the Book
Mina and her friends have just finished their primary school exams, and it’s finally time to CELEBRATE. Miss Khan has promised the Year 6 children at Western Primary a week of games, parties and snacks. But everything comes to a crashing halt when Mr Aku gets THAT phone call: A SCHOOL INSPECTION!
Gone are the plans for a fun week, the kids all have to be on their best behaviour and if everything goes well, Year 6 will get to go on a trip to the new circus in town!
Mina and her best friends Mobeen and Reema are chosen to show the inspectors around, and everything seems to be going REALLY WELL! Until a pet tarantula goes missing …

Simran Diamond Singh
Simran Diamond Singh is an illustrator and character designer based in East London. She has always adored storytelling and world-building and bringing characters to life, and her journey into the creative industry began with internships at animation studios. After winning the SECRET STORY DRAW competition in 2021, she decided to venture into the enchanting world of children’s book illustrations.
