I really enjoyed reading this book and thought it was very funny
Karlson on the roof is a really funny book about a boy called Smidge who finds there is a funny little man living on his roof. The man on the roof is very cheeky and small. He also has a propeller on his back that allows him to fly around.
They get up to lots of mischief and adventures together. My favourite one was when they sneaked into a house and found a baby. Karlson thinks he is the best at everything and thinks he is the best nanny in the world. He gives the baby a sausage on a fork to make it quiet. They then had to run out when the parents came in but they left the sausage on the fork! The babies parents were so mad and it was so funny.
I really enjoyed reading this book and thought it was very funny. Karlson can sometimes be a bit mean, but he is also funny so makes the story great fun.
About the Book
For readers aged 7 – 9 years this book contains three charming short stories by Astrid Lindgren with lots of fun illustrations in black and white by Mini Grey, making it a really accessible book for young independent readers.
