Kaleb’s Farm Tales Reviewed by Zaki, Age 6

I like the front cover of this book because it has a tractor and a farmer driving it and there’s a lot of hay and animals. The fried eggs look like they’re falling on the bird which is funny.

It took me a long long time to read this book because there’s 205 pages. It is the longest book I’ve ever read!

I like the pictures of Kaleb on his tractor on the pages that tell you the chapter numbers. My favourite picture in the book is of Kaleb staring at Bruce and Bruce staring back at him.

My mum couldn’t read the chapter about poo because it was too stinky but it was my favourite! I didn’t know that animal poo helps plants to grow!

Bruce is a really cheeky pig and I liked the story when he escaped from the pen and Kaleb had a great plan to get him back using apples.

The chapter on fruit and vegetables is really interesting because it gives lots of information about different things that Kaleb grows on the farm and I like growing vegetables and fruits in my garden too. This has given me new ideas of things I can grow.

I like the photo of Kaleb at the back because I know what what he looks like.

I think this is a funny book and I would recommend it to all children who like farms, animals and want to learn how to grow fruit and vegetables.
