This book is exciting as well as funny and it is also easy to read so I think it is great for young readers who might be nervous of reading longer books because it is broken down into short, funny chapters
This book is about a girl called Maggie coming into a new village and school, but there is a twist. This book is really funny. I thought the funniest bit was “I put some worms in his hair and didn’t tell him for ages. They kind of fell out later and gave him a mild heart attack.” It made me laugh out loud. Maggie and her friends are all different. Miles is scared of almost everything, Ari is excellent at art and Maggie absolutely LOVES scary things. But together they make a great team.
Usually the vampires are the baddies in stories, this book is different and I really enjoyed that it was about how NOT to be a vampire slayer. This book is exciting as well as funny and it is also easy to read so I think it is great for young readers who might be nervous of reading longer books because it is broken down into short, funny chapters.
I give this book 91/2 out of 10!
About the Book

She studied English Literature and Linguistics at the University of Manchester, later working as Deputy Features Editor at Country Life magazine. In addition to teen fiction, she also writes adult romantic comedies under different pen names and co-authors middle-grade series, and she lives in London
