This book has loads of awesome facts and made me giggle. I recommend this book to anyone who likes animals
The dedication to the author’s family says “hope you’re grateful we didn’t eat you!” Normally it would say ‘To X, this book is for you’.
I live in Europe so I started with the section on Europe (page 39). It’s got some funny jokes like on the page with the rheas: ‘Rhea-lly’. Did you know that guillemot babies have to jump off a cliff before they can even fly properly at all?
The red velvet spider gives the ultimate sacrifice by letting her babies eat her. The female glass frogs kick out at their enemies. I didn’t understand the joke about ‘crouching frog, hidden ninja’ so I don’t think a lot of people my age would. My parents explained it to me.
I would have preferred if koalas were included. The pictures are drawings not photos.
