This book pulled me into the gripping tales as I watched a slender olive tree sprout from the ground, witnessed the ledendary battle of Troy and beheld the indefatigable Argonauts in all their glory. I loved the detail of this book and how it lifted a diaphanous veil my view of Greek mythology, describing each missing piece of the puzzle.

I loved reading about Atalanta’s bravery when faced with being unwanted as an infant to being ripped from her beloved. I admired her courage and strength of mind as she worked through the numerous difficulties her life presented her.
I particularly enjoyed learning the myths from a different perspective and (for example) seeing the goddess Athena portrayed as jealous and spiteful in the story of Arachne.

I would recommend this fantastic book to lovers of mythology or someone who wants a hidden jewel that appeases any taste.
