Book Review

My mum told me that the author of this book wrote ‘The bad guys’ which is one of my favourite movies so I was really excited to read this book.

I can’t believe that Griff is allergic to so many pets and is scared of even fish. My favourite part of the book is when Griff met Bob the Axolotl because he finally had his very own pet and he wasn’t lonely anymore. The lady in the pet shop freaked me out a bit because she sounded angry.

The cute puppy dog is my favourite because he is the biggest winner on game of pets; he seems cute but he’s not nice.

The idea that the pets were telling their owners to do bad things, like put things in the wrong bin was an imaginative and funny idea by the authors. If I was Griff I’d be suspicious of the Axolotl because all pets are being controlled by the animals playing the game of pets.

I would recommend this book for people who like stories about pets.

About the Book

What if life on earth was an intergalactic game show, and our pets were the evil animal overlords? Well, the intergalactic game show is live. And your cat is definitely in on it.

Meet Griff, an eleven-year-old kid with innumerable allergies who’s just been told he’s the only one who can save the world. The trouble is, this prophecy comes with a warning: ‘Watch your back, man . . . your PETS are not what they seem . . .’
