Book Review

I think I would recommend it to people who like freaky stories and excitement.

It is a good tale, although slightly freaky and grim as it’s about a taxidermist and a creature who can bring people and animals back to life. I have to say my favourite character was probably the feather masked guard. One of the reasons I liked it and couldn’t put it down was the fact that it kept me guessing.

My favourite part was the descriptions in chapter 13, it made me feel like I was there. There was another scene with a song in it which I thought was written well as it’s tricky to add songs into books.

This book made me feel a range of emotions such as excited, happy, sad and puzzled. As much as I enjoyed it, I didn’t like the giant time gap in the middle where they skipped a few years.

The pictures in the book are great. I particularly like the illustrations on pages 152-153 and 163-164. You’ll have to get the book and see if you agree with me!

I think I would recommend it to people who like freaky stories and excitement.
