Finn’s Epic Fails: Downhill From Here

I really enjoyed this book and had finished it by the time I went to school the next morning
Right at the beginning Finn was flying naked through the air after a water slide! Fail! He calls his mum ‘the mothership’, for example ‘the mothership has landed’ when his mum arrives. His mum isn’t even mentioned in the first one – there’s only one picture of his mother in the entire two books.
The rats are treated like VIPs in their first hotel –that made me laugh. I would have left that hotel too. Finn didn’t have much of a choice, his dad had to do a protest to get them on to a really nice hotel. The second hotel was better.
Finn’s brother Jonah (as part of his mental torture) made Finn think that he could help him get rid of some blotches on his face.
Jonah told him to use some sort of medicine which turned out to be fake tan. Apparently he was meant to wash it off at 10 minutes but instead his brother told him to wash it off after 30 minutes. You’ll have to read the book to find out what happened.
I recommend it to anyone who read the first book. If you didn’t read the first book, go and read the first one right now and then read the second one! If you like Horrible Histories you should read this book.
I hope he will write another book about Finn
Ps: Some of this you will have to read the book for it to make sense!!

Al Murphy is a British illustrator and animator whose work has appeared for clients such as the BBC, MTV, and Air France. He graduated from the Liverpool School of Art in 1999 and later became a children’s book author, publishing 'A Duck Called Brian'.
