This book is simply AMAZING! To be honest when I first saw this book, I wasn’t so sure I would like it but how totally wrong was!

This book is about a blind girl called Ella. Despite not being able to see, she is still positive and determined to do everything. When the world unexpectedly goes dark nobody can see. But can Ella and her friends return light to the world?

My favourite part was when Ella and her friends found all the jewels and used them to attack Lugh [I was literally on the edge of my seat when I read that].

My favourite character is definitely Ella because she doesn’t want her blindness to be a barrier to doing the things she loves. She is brave, resilient and she pushes herself. It inspires me to keep trying and working hard to reach my goals even when it is really tough.

This book has very descriptive language which helps me create such vivid pictures in my mind, almost like I am really there in the story.

I LOVE the braille on the front cover as it means people who can’t see still know what the book is about.

I think this book is very unique because the main character has a disability. I would recommend this book for people with any kind of difficulties as it shows everyone is special in a different way and you can still achieve so much when you work hard.
