Book Review

I like the front cover of this book because Dee and Flee are having slushies in front of their van on the beach and it looks like good fun.

I like Flee because he used materials he found around the house to build a rocket. I like the idea of recycling the cups so they can be used again and don’t end up in the sea and are dangerous for the sea creatures. I like that there is a villain in the book who does not want Dee and Flee’s recycling idea to do well, I couldn’t wait to read what was going to happen next.

I loved all the activities at the end of the story. My favourite was the spot the difference and I managed to find them all.

I would recommend this book to children who want to help the planet and also like fun activities.

About the Book

Meet Dee & Flee, the ultimate duo behind the pop-up Slushie Baron Paradise Beach! It’s the loveliest beach on Jewel Island, but it’s drowning – in litter – and Dee’s determined to make a difference.

Can she persuade people to be Litter Heroes instead of litterbugs? She hopes so, but there’s a villain in town just as determined to trash Paradise Beach – and Dee’s plans!
