This book captured my attention as it navigates the complicated teen dramas and relationships.

If I had to describe this book, I would say it is funny, adventurous and dramatic. My favourite character is Liv because she is humorous, supportive and is quite curious about things, just like me!

This book follows the story of a group of friends separated from their best friend Kennedy over the summer holidays using group chats, which is an innovative format for a book. It’s a fantastic idea and very relatable, as most upcoming teens are very much on their phones.

As a quick summary, Kennedy is going camping for the summer with her mum away from her friends, the illustrator reflects on the theme of the book cover, which is vibrant and eye-catching, using emojis to reflect the themes throughout the book.

I would recommend this story to people who like drama, jokes and friendships. I laughed through most of it!

I think the moral of the story is to experience new things that may seem uncomfortable first but can develop into memorable experiences that you can enjoy.
