It is a really good story because the author makes an amazing picture and the settings are mind-capturing!
This book was a very interesting read because it was about mystery and theft and I like those sorts of books. It is a really good story because the author makes an amazing picture and the settings are mind-capturing!
I liked the fact that there was a lot of detail in the chapters. The pre-publication proof that I read did not include the illustrations but you could still imagine so much without them because the descriptions are so good.
I even struggled to put the book down even when I was at school at my lunchtimes and break it was that good!!! 😂
My favourite character was Gilbert because he was funny, determined, brave and cheerful. I also really liked Clem because she was so determined to find her Dad she did not care what happened to her and she also really loved her Dad!
I think the moral of the story is keep going even if you find things difficult and don’t steal!!
I would recommend this book for children/ teens aged 10+ since there are dangerous weapons and scary scenes in it.
About the Book

Eve Wersocki Morris
Eve Wersocki Morris is an award-nominated and bestselling children’s author and has been making up stories her whole life.
