If I had to describe the story in one word I would say ‘Skellie’. The main character, Mr Bonehead, is a skeleton or ‘Skellie’. It is not only Bonehead, there’s also Mort his boss, who is really angry at him. It’s funny how they argue with each other and only agree if it’s something like ‘I’m so stupid’ (mainly if Bonehead says that).

As I was writing this review I was reading back through the book and laughing at the funny things Mort says. Bonehead and Mort are both guards of Hades’ fortress. Hades is also very angry – there’s a picture of him on page 214.

Get your Bonehead book today – 90% angry people, 10% nice people! Bonehead and Mort have to look after Cerberus, a three headed dog. His personality is the same as the percentages I mentioned earlier but a dog instead of a person.

There are scratchings on the wall from previous dogsitters (names not mentioned) counting down the days or sending help messages on the walls as if it was a prison. I think that’s because of the smell of the, I don’t want to talk about it but let’s say ‘faeces’. What would I do if I was looking after Cerberus? One thing I would do is do a lot of running away – maybe a game of ‘run away from Cerberus’!

There’s a bestiary at the end which describes different underworld creatures, including golems. They look nothing like the iron golems in Minecraft and don’t behave they are same either. There’s a picture of a golem wearing a bow-tie on page 212.
