I found it fascinating learning about different stories, like about Rama and Sita
This book is very informative, especially if you don’t know much about Diwali.
I liked learning about the Festival of Light (Diwali), and the book had great pictures to help explain. I also loved the crafts and recipes for yummy food. The book helps you to learn about how people celebrate Diwali, like buying new clothes or making patterns on their door step. I found it fascinating learning about different stories, like about Rama and Sita.
The book is full of interesting information including how Ayodhya in India earned a Guinness world record for lighting 300,000 lamps for Diwali!
I think this is book is great for any age who want to learn more about the celebration.

Swapna Haddow is a British born children’s and middle grade author who first rose to fame with her debut series Dave Pigeon — a humorous pigeon themed comic adventure that won the Greenhouse Funny Prize and several regional children’s book awards. Before becoming a full time writer she trained in medical sciences but ultimately decided to follow her passion for storytelling. These days she lives in Dunedin, New Zealand with her husband, son and their dog — and continues to write playful, animal filled books beloved by children.
