I really enjoyed reading this book and devoured it in a few days. It was very well written and I couldn’t wait to find out what happened next in the story so just had to keep reading. (I also really liked the cover!)

I’ve never picked up a thing like this before because I didn’t feel like a love story would be appropriate for me, but it I really enjoyed it so I’m going to try and find some more stories like it. I would recommend this to anyone over the age of twelve as it has some bad language in. I would also recommend it to anyone who likes excitement, thrill and drama in their reading.

Hannah is a ballerina who is reluctant to disappoint her mum, whose ballet career was ended when she got injured, so Hannah’s whole life is taken up by ballet. Leo’s mum is completely different to Hannah’s, as she’s very laid back and thinks that if you ignore your problems and have some fun the difficult things will go away. Leo also believes this but as he spends time with Hannah he starts to realise that not all problems can be dealt with by walking away from them and that to get what you want you have to work for it and not just rely on luck.

Through the course of the story they find who they truly are and Leo and Hannah discover what they want to do with their lives. They are the only two people left and they don’t want to lose each other, so they think if they stick together they might be able to find out what has happened to everyone else.

I liked how the book was narrated by two different characters as it made it interesting to see how differently people can react to the same event. It often overlapped so a short part of an event would happen again, but told by the other person this time. I like how this shows how the way people are brought up can affect the ways they cope with things and how they feel about them and the way they live their lives.

One of the other things I like about it is that the two characters aren’t too different from other people their age and even though I’m not as old as them yet I still felt that I were in their situation I would feel the same way about some things.
