The book follows the story of eight teenage instructors at an American style residential camp Holly, Grayson, Brianna, Ava, Rich, Ismail, Emma and Fionn.
In the beginning it seems like any other fun, wholesome camp filled with laughs and spooky stories but the deeper we go into the story the more sinister it gets.
At the start one of our main characters ‘Rich’ decides to tell a ‘scary campfire story’ about a haunted mansion and the betrayed mistress’s ghost living there, only after many peculiar occurrences it seems like the story is becoming a reality and the deceived mistress won’t stop until she gets EVERY.SINGLE.ONE.OF.THEM. Overall, a great introduction into YA thrillers, definitely a must read for readers aged 13+
A Short Introduction to the Story
Welcome to Camp Killer is a bite-sized thriller about an American-style residential camp set int he ground of an English stately home.
But right from the outset, things don’t feel quite right at Camp Miller. Rumours circulate of a tragedy that took place in the grounds and there are unexplained sightings of a ghostly presence.
Then the incidents begin – a near-drowning out on the lake, a fatal fall from a cliff-face … Are these tragic accidents or is there something more sinister going on at Camp Killer?
