I liked the plot and concept of the story and it wasn't too disturbing, wasn't too creepy
I think “Watch Your Back” is overall an okay book. To be honest, I had high expectations because I’ve read all of her other books and I just don’t think this one reached their level. I found it really easy to guess who the culprit of everything was as well.
In the beginning half, it was good, the plot was developing, new characters were introduced, but as soon as creepy/weird things started happening, that’s when I was like ‘ummmm, ok’ then. And also, I hated the main character. I don’t know, she was giving MAJOR ‘pick me’ vibes. You know when sometimes you really just want to punch the character? Yeah I wanted to do that.
Anyway, on a more positive note, I really did like the plot and concept of the story and it wasn’t too disturbing, wasn’t too creepy. Apart from the main character, I liked most of them and felt really bad for the new friend because she so innocent and sad :((
3/5 and perfect for readers aged 12 and up.

Kara has started a new school year without her best friend by her side. Eden has a new boyfriend and doesn’t have time for her.
Instead, Kara finds herself drawn to a friendship with Romilly, a girl from her year with no friends. The trouble is, the more Kara hangs around with Romilly, the more unsettling things start to happen. There’s the break in to her locker… the silent cold calls… and more.
One thing is for sure. Someone is targeting Kara, and if she doesn’t work out why, who knows what they will do next …
