Book Review

I could not recommend this book enough times it went above and beyond: it had everything

After reading Kaylnn Bayron’s ‘Cinderella is Dead’ I had high expectations for this book. Let me tell you it did not disappoint. I was immersed in the book from the get go, even though I read the main character’s name a million different times before I settled on the right pronunciation.

I think I learned every single plant/ flower name in the entire world after reading the first 100 pages, I found the adjectives and descriptive language incredible making my imagination go wild when I pictured the different events in the book.

I found most the action happening in the last 50 pages, was fast-paced and I even had to reread a paragraph of two to grasp what had happened. I found the characters fun, the moms were embarrassing enough to be realistic, but not cheesy.

And the betrayal! It left me gobsmacked (I even had to put the book down at one point it got that intense). I could not recommend this book enough times it went above and beyond; it had everything: Greek mythology, immortality, weird poisonous plants and even a slight unexpected love triangle!
